Re-creating the stress-deformation path is critical when modelling the interaction between underground workings and open pits.
This means that the geometry must be properly re-created, using very small model steps.
In the example to the left, the mining history comprising complex stoping was represented using over 50 mining steps before the pit extraction could be represented.
Extremely complex geological features were represented in the model. |
